Next January the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2020 will take place in Madrid, and Tarifa, as every year, will be present to show the public its many possibilities for sports, outdoor activities, nature or culture among others, and to them, in the next appointment, will join the gastronomy, and more specifically the red tuna that will be very present with different tasting dishes.

The City Council and the Gastronomic Association of Tarifa will prepare several tastings of red tuna, and the different ways of cooking it that are worked in the town, from the canned to the Makintosh smoked tuna (recently recognized in London with the first prize in the Iberian fair Expo London), or the new Tarifa brand raised by the Fishermen’s Association, Red Tuna from Tarifa among others.

As the Councillor for Tourism of the Tarifa Town Hall points out, this is “one more possibility within the wide range of tourism on offer in Tarifa. We have seven tuna routes, and every year we are surpassing the previous one. The “red gold” is part of our gastronomy and culture, and in events such as FITUR we have to show the public the culinary delights that the town has, and we will do it hand in hand with those who know about it, such as the businessmen of the Gastronomic Association”.
