The Alameda Theatre box office will open early next Wednesday. From nine o’clock in the morning until two o’clock in the afternoon, tickets for the Carnival Grouping Competition, scheduled for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March, will be on sale. As on previous occasions, each interested party can purchase a maximum of four tickets.

The sale of single tickets for each of the two semi-finals and the grand final will take place the following day, Thursday 27 February, at the same time from 9 am to 2 pm.

During the days of the competition there will also be specific opening hours of the theatre’s box office. It will be from 5 to 7 in the evening and every day specific tickets for the current day will be on sale. Each interested party may withdraw a maximum of two tickets.

Finally there will be 13 groups parading on the stage of the Alameda Theatre throughout this edition of the competition. Seven chirigotas and 6 comparsas from different parts of the region and towns such as San Fernando have registered for the local competition. They are the chirigotas “El club de los villanos”, “Las inmortales 2020”, “Las Algeciras mares”, “A las claras del día” and “Cuéntame qué nos pasó” from Algeciras, and “Los Joaquín Dead”, from San Fernando.

Among the groups registered in the Alameda are “Hechiceras” from Algeciras, “El batallón del mar” from Lugo, “Vengo a por ti” from San Fernando, “Posdata: te quiero” from Tarifa, “Sin miedo a nada” and “La Tribu de Cádiz”, both from Algeciras. Tomorrow, Friday, the order of performance of each semi-final will be decided by draw.

The prices of the Competition tickets range from 9 euros for the semi-finals to 12 euros for the big final night. The tickets cost 25 euros.
